Paris is said to be always a good idea… Well that’s definitely not such a good idea for your diet With all these pâtisserie, boulanger and brasserie around it’s better to wave white flag and give your belly some freedom (no tight closes here:).
Ready or not, it’s still here!
Something that many of us though was very temporary and frankly quite ugly trend of summer 2013 Birkenstock – is still here in 2014 and going strong.
It’s 2014 January 6th and this winter I saw snow only once. Keeping in mind that I’m living in the middle of Europe it’s not completely normal, but I would be lying saying that I’m very sad about it – all this thanks to global warming. Hope soon I can throw away all my winter wardrobe…
So to find snow this year wasn’t so easy – we had to look even in another country. Or better to say – another altitude. And finally we found some in Austria on the Silvretta mountain, so it was decide for short austrian skiing weekend in Iscghl. Ok ok, you got me, it’s not exactly true, I’m not such a huge skiing/snowboarding fan, but I’m very huge fan of SPAs, so I added a little bonus to our trip – a stay in newly opened design hotel ZHERO in Kappl :)
After amazing summer in Zurich was coming to the end, it was time to prolong it a bit and the logic choice was Italy – where the summer and Dolce Vita almost never ends.
And as I was invited to a wedding on the Amalfi coast, I decided to go for one way ticket.
To sum up – Amalfi coast would be great, if it would be less touristic.
However Napoli is still the Real Deal – trash everywhere, shady but funny people, the best mozzarella di buffala, amazing pizza margheritta and another little magic – EVERYTHING is possible in Napoli, like jumping to little groceries store and suddenly they organize a full lunch for you and even arrange a seating in the middle of the streets .
Remember – Naples is CRAZY. And there are many reasons why…. Scooters flying like mad on the super narrow streets of old town, but still managing to write sms with one hand and eat sandwich with the other, and the helmets… well helmets in Naples exists only in case it’s “too cold in the evening”.
